Having always wanted to capture the iconic New York skyline, my opportunity came during an evening visit to Brooklyn in April 2010.

Timed to pick up the strong light pollution that was evident, this image is a composite of six 8 second exposures taken from a pier on the Brooklyn side of New York.

On a future visit to New York I hope to replicate this shot with a time-lapse version created across a full day…
